Stefani Germanotta [born March 1986 in New York, U.S.A.], also known by her stage name Lady GaGa, is an American singer-songwriter dance-pop, electronica musician signed to Interscope Records. Born into a Italian-American family and growing up in Manhattan's Lower East side Germanotta attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart School. Having learned piano by ear at the age of four, Germanotta went on to write her first piano ballad at thirteen and began performing at open mic nights by the age of fourteen. Keri Lynn Hilson [born October 27th 1982 in Atlanta, Georgia] is an American R&B singer and songwriter signed to Zone 4/Mosley Music Group/Interscope Records. She is part of a collective of writers and producers known as The Clutch. Hilson began songwriting in 2001 and would go on to write tracks for Britney Spears, Ciara, Usher, and Ludacris. Despite having made a name for herself as an arranger and background vocalist, as well as lending her vocal talents to many of the songs she co-wrote, Hilson remained behind the scenes for the most part until 2004, when she was featured on Xzibit's single, 'Hey Now [Mean Muggin]' and made her performing debut singing the track live at the 2004 MTV Europe Awards.
